Landmarks

When getting to know a new city (especially when that city’s in another language), it’s important to develop a series of landmarks to find your way around and back.

Here are the landmarks I’ve been using:

When meeting new people here and they ask where I live I ask the following two questions: do you know where the “finger” is, or do you know where the Khan Motel (a love motel) is?
