More from New Zealand

I’m on the verge of packing up my life and leaving Vancouver, Canada, for Gunsan, South Korea. As I’m sorting through and downsizing my life, to a couple suitcases and a backpack, I’m becoming the slightest bit sentimental. My heart keeps going back to New Zealand, my family there and the time that I’ve spent there over the last couple decades. Auckland is my second home and my hope is that I will find a similar contentment in Korea.

These are a few photos from my visit earlier this year. As my previous post stated, my aunt had rented us a bach on Waiheke. This particular day was a girls’ day where my mom, my aunt, my aunt’s bestie Kirsten and I went on a hike through Stony Batter, an outpost off of Man O’ War Bay. It was a former lookout and gunnery to defend Waitemata Harbour during WWII.
